The Tuskegee Squadron
The Tuskegee Cadet Squadron was chartered in December, 2013, making it the newest squadron in the National Capital Wing. We are also the only squadron located within the boundaries of the District of Columbia. The Tuskegee Cadet Squadron is named in honor of the illustrious Tuskegee Airmen from WWII and a previously chartered squadron within NATCAP. We are a Cadet Squadron; in that the squadron is intended for cadets with enough senior members meet supervisory, administrative, and training requirements to conduct cadet programs.
Our location enables us to serve the National Capital Region, and provide an excellent opportunity for the youth of Washington D.C., the State of Maryland, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. While we meet on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, we encourage membership from throughout the DC community.
We train and participate in the three missions of Civil Air Patrol; Aerospace Education, Emergency Services, and Cadet Programs. And while we have only been around a short period of time, our members have had an impact on Wing Operations. Our members have participated in actual emergency services missions within the District. We have also posted the colors for the Washingtion Nationals.
While we are a cadet program, we are seeking members of all eligible ages to participate in Civil Air Patrol, and to give back to their communities.
