Our Squadron in the Community

Civil Air Patrol performs ceremonial duties in a variety of manners as a public service. CAP has provided Color Guards and Honor Guards for numerous functions from dedications and memorial services to sporting events. Our cadets in uniform provide an invaluable service that is often difficult to arrange.

Types of services that we perform, include but are not limited to:

  • Color Guards for:
    • Sporting Events
    • Dignitaries, Generals, and Government Officials
    • Marching in Parades
    • Change of Command and Retirement Ceremonies
    • Memorial Services
    • Veterans Memorial Ceremonies
  • Honor Guard for
    • Funerals
    • Wreath Laying
    • Folding the United States Flag
    • Congressional Receptions
    • Assist Military on Armed Forced Day
    • Fallen Comrades / Missing Man & Honors Table Ceremony
    • Work with schools and organizations for Drug Awareness
    • Playing of Taps
    • Stand guard at a funeral home
    • Pallbearers to escort the casket or urn to a final resting-place
  • Raising of the Flag for
    • Newly dedicated facilities or flag pole
    • Memorial Services
    • Putting the colors at half-staff for fallen service members
  • Uniformed members for
    • Military Balls
    • Directing Traffic
    • Displays and or presentations on Aerospace, Leadership, Emergency Services, Communications, Physical Fitness and more
    • Presenting CAP to the community
    • Other services
